This is my first time blogging, so this is very foreign to me! I am very excited to learn all about it, and to learn how to incorporate blogging and other technologies in my classroom. I am a fourth grade teacher in Manchester, and most of my students do not have access to computers at home. The most experience they get with computers and technology is in the classroom. I feel as though this will open many doors for my students and give them new experiences, such as the one I am having!

  1. I run into the same problem of no technology at home with my 5th graders in West Hartford! I constantly expose them to technology in the classroom and am lenient with my boundaries in order to let them explore and become digital citizens independently. Blogging is new for me too- slightly nervous, but more excited to have a brand new experience- I think it will put us in the shoes of our students.

    1. Yes I'm excited to have my students branch out a bit! I am pretty sure they do not even know what blogging is. I would love to incorporate it with reading or math. We shall see!

  2. Yay for being tech savvy even through obstacles! What is your school technology like? Did they provide you with lots of computers in the classroom? I'm sure you'll take every opportunity available to extend your students' learning!

    1. I have about 6 computers in the class, not including the one I use. I also have an Eno Board. They are always on the computers because our school promotes different reading and math programs. I think it will be fun for them to branch outside of the computer programs they are use to!
